Nicolae Bălcescu, nr. 50, jud. Buzău, reprezentată legal de către dr. Daniel Costache-Bolocan în calitate de Manager, anunță vernisarea expoziției IN MEMORIAM: OWN HEROES OF THE FIRST-WRISING OF THE FIRST-WRISE (1916-1918). Evenimentul este pregătit de Secția de Istorie și face parte din suita de manifestări organizate de muzeu în anul aniversării Centenarului României Mari (1918 – 2018).[/dropcap]

Designed as an art installation, the exhibition comprises multiple symbols: the cross, the bell, the folk shirt, the deck, the path. All the compositional elements shape and synthetically define a sunset universe, that of the peasant from 100 years ago, who became a soldier in the service of the country.

In the European Year of Cultural Heritage, we would like to draw attention to the importance of a heritage in every Buzau commune: the monuments erected for the sacrifice of our fallen heroes on the battlefields, for the realization of the national ideal.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with: Buzau County Service of the National Archives, the National Military Museum “King Ferdinand I”, the National Association Cult of Heroes “Regina Maria” (Buzau branch), the Buzau County Gendarmerie Inspectorate and the Archdiocese of Buzau and Vrancea.

The exhibition, a tribute to the heroes of our villages, Buzauians, many of them unnamed, remaining anonymous, can be visited until 31.03.2019.

The official opening will take place on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 12.00, in the Amphiteatru Hall of the Buzău County Museum, Nicolae Bălcescu Blvd., No. 50.
