Thematic guides

Project implemented for the first time in 2024. This cultural product, which is mainly aimed at families and groups of friends, aims to encourage group cohesion, for educational purposes. The themes addressed deepen topics related to the historical past of the communities that developed on the current territory of Buzău county. As part of the guides, visitors are presented with all the exhibits and dioramas related to funeral behavior from prehistory to antiquity and the Middle Ages. The guide begins with a primary introduction to the meaning of the funeral rite and ritual, followed by the presentation of some exhibits from the exhibition dedicated to the discoveries from the Neolithic era, where references are made to burials in tumuli, then continues with the burials in stone rings, in the Bronze Age Hall , the evolution of the magico-religious beliefs that were the basis of this funerary behavior and reaches back to antiquity. The guide ends with the Roman funerary discoveries from Pietroasele. Another topic addressed in the thematic guides is that of jewelry used in a religious context, from ancient times to the present day. The theme involves an applied discussion about the ornaments, starting from the meaning of the support material, from the meaning of the metals, the stones from which these jewels related to the magical-religious system were made, to the moment when they were executed. The guide starts from the halls of archeology and ends in the contemporary era, tracing all this evolution of the aesthetics and magico-religious meanings of jewelry.
