Buzau Regional Youth Resource Center

It represents a project implemented from 2024 by the Buzău County Museum in partnership with the National Bank of Romania-Buzău Agency, the Buzău County Geopark Association, the Buzău County School Inspectorate and the Tourism Office of the Buzău County Council. During its implementation, the project also co-opted partners such as SlowFood Community Buzău. The purpose of this partnership is to create an optimal framework where young people from Buzo can go through a series of financial trainings, development opportunities and find financing solutions that they can access for the purpose of financial development as well as artistic and cultural development. The idea from which the project started is that financial education for young people is the foundation brick of any search for financial and economic fulfillment of every young person.

The target group is made up of high school students, but also young people who have completed their studies and are working or looking for a job. The specialists from the National Bank of Romania, the specialists of the Buzău County Museum as well as a whole series of guests have been the ones who have so far held more than 20 meetings during which the participants were trained on basic financial and banking concepts , they were presented with financing opportunities from local, national and international funds that they can access, they participated in vocational and professional guidance workshops, they had meetings with businessmen from Buzău who shared their experiences their business.

The results of the impact analysis of this program will be published in December 2024.
