  • Milenii tezaurizate.

The work will be carried out within a single section entitled:

Within the project, LIDAR investigations (from the plane, but also with the help of UAV technology) are carried out on the project, along the most important strategic corridors, used from prehistory to modern epoch: Rucăr-Bran, Tatar Road, Moldova Road through the Oituz Pass, but also through some of their variants (Dâmboviței valley, Buzăului valley, Ghim.

LIDAR investigations are followed by geophysical studies and interdisciplinary ground analysis (magnetometry, electrometry, photogrammetry, etc.), surface research, field assessments and archaeological surveys to obtain more complete data about communication paths and commercial roads, about the sites and battlefields in the area.

Because the HILANDS project is carried out on a wide area, which includes the territory of Argeș, Dambovita, Prahova, Buzău, Brăila, Vrancea, Bacau, Brasov, Covasna and Harghita counties, “V. Pârvan” of the Romanian Academy concluded collaboration protocols with specialists from the museums mentioned area.

The mobile heritage discovered during these researches remains in the museum collections on the territory of the counties where it was found, and the researchers of the respective institutions participate in its cultural and scientific valorization, through exhibitions, communications, reports, articles, studies and monographs.

Buzau County Museum, both through the discovered vestiges and by the fact that it has included in the project three valuable researchers, makes a significant contribution to the cultural and scientific research and valorization of the heritage within the HILANDS Project.
