Noaptea Europeană a Muzeelor – ediția 2022

”Chihlimbar baltic, provenit din contrabandă, indisponibilizat de DIICOT, valorificat de ANABI, expus la muzeu”

Buzau County Museum, instituție de cultură, cercetare și artă, ce funcționează sub autoritatea Consiliului Județean Buzău, cu sediul în mun. Buzău, Aleea Castanilor, nr. 1, anunță deschiderea expoziției temporare ”Chihlimbar baltic, provenit din contrabandă, indisponibilizat de DIICOT, valorificat de ANABI, expus la muzeu”.

Organizată în parteneriat cu Ministerul Justiției din România și Agenția Națională de Administrare a Bunurilor Indisponibilizate, expoziția va fi deschisă sâmbătă, 14 mai 2022, începând cu ora 20:30, și va putea fi vizitată până în data de 17 iulie 2022.

The pieces to be exhibited, for the first time, at the Buzău County Museum, are the subject of a criminal case aimed at committing the crime of smuggling. The nuggets of fossilized resin were illegally introduced into Romania by evading customs control. They were stored, transported and delivered in countries such as: Poland, Hungary, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. Only the sustained effort and professionalism of the prosecutors from the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism, the central structure, and the judicial police officers from the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime made that part of the amount of more than 800 kg of amber, seized, with an estimated value between $400,000 and $3,200,000, to reach this unique exhibition project.
